Story

The project site was situated in a densely populated neighborhood with little visual appeal. The site's east-west orientation posed a significant challenge by allowing harsh light to enter the interior spaces. For the design of this residential building, we chose to use a central courtyard and an introverted building layout to meet our goals of providing ample natural light and great views. The building is designed with unique mezzanine floor sections and spaces to enhance the overall experience for the residents.The complexity of the spaces and the engagement of the audience's sense of curiosity are distinct characteristics of this design. It was created with a unique and bold perspective on the definition of home. Banafsheh's residential interior spaces ultimately benefit from the natural light and the concealed tree at their core, rather than relying on an external view.
