Story
Hayyat Fitness Complex was a reconstruction project with a minimum budget. The existing building, previously used for residential purposes, with load-bearing walls, created micro-scale spaces. These dimensions of small spaces conflicted with the use of sports and public spaces, which required vast spaces. In this way, the basic changes in the maximum compatibility with the structure and comprehensive architectural programming were the most important requirements of the design. The importance of greenery extends beyond the project's existing north and south courtyards, playing a vital role in raising the quality of the renovated space. The middle open space of the project in combination with brick frames has provided a special character of interior spaces. The middle open area and exposed brick frames have provided a unique character for the interior spaces. In renovating this space, one of the main ideas was to make the most of the texture of the existing brick walls by minimizing additional joinery. This approach aimed to create a cohesive spatial identity. By highlighting the prominent texture of the existing bricks, the design resulted in a raw space with exposed facilities.
