Story
The Mosha Landscape, a 2000 square meters of land divided into four parts, was referred to our office while The site already had partially constructed buildings. The project faced significant challenges due to the land's topography. Beyond the significant challenge of the land's steep 50% slope, several factors complicated design and implementation: (Unstable half-finished buildings on the site, built without considering ground conditions, Fragmented land divided into small plots, limiting design flexibility). In the first stage, the project site was divided into 3 levels with optimal height differences based on the topography. According to the region's climatic conditions and its mountainous terrain, the decision was made to use locally available stone as the primary building material. The use of stone walls was chosen for their structural strength and ability to blend in with the natural surroundings, making them an ideal choice for implementing the different levels. To ensure the stability of the tall stone walls (some reaching 7 meters), their design was modified from flat panels to a U-shaped profile. This added support structure, acting as back braces, prevents the structure from collapsing outwards. The U-shaped stone structures presented additional design opportunities beyond their structural purpose. At the ground level, spaces between walls were filled with single evergreen trees, while upper levels incorporated them into the design of the stairs. The stone rows, designed for planting fruit trees, were created using the dry system and gabion. Additionally, the combination of delicate plants, rough stones, and modern metal fences enhanced the recreational enjoyment of the area.
